Injury & Illness Procedures

BTBC INJURY & ILLNESS PROCEDURES

Please note: Any missed session due to injury or illness will be dealt with on an individual basis and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

If you become injured/ill whilst on a 28-Day Programme or our 8-Week Programme and you cannot train, firstly please let us know asap if you are going to miss a session. Once you are fit enough to return, you can continue to redeem the unused sessions from the day you informed us of your injury / illness as long as there is still space in your group. As we have new starters every 4 weeks, we cannot guarantee there will be space after your programme finishes. If this is the case, we will offer for you to complete your missed sessions at an alternative group where there is space available.

In any case of illness or injury, please let us know asap by sending an email to: radek@bodytransformerbootcamp.co.uk

For clients on our 6 months or 1 year programmes, again please let us know asap that you have an injury or illness. We will discuss with you on an individual basis what your options will be. We do not add missed sessions onto the end of your programme unless your illness / injury is more than 2 weeks, by which time we would expect that you have consulted your doctor, physio or other medical professional. If you miss the odd session or week here and there due to illness or injury, there are plenty of online workouts you can use to catch up with once you are feeling better and we even have shorter, 15-minute stretching and balance workouts that can be completed if you are not quite ready for the high intensity workouts.

We do not ‘pause’ a membership unless a client cannot continue with the programme at all – e.g. in hospital, have a specific recovery plan or they are not physically able to do so. In these circumstances, please speak with us personally and we will arrange what to do next. In these circumstances we may require your GP or the hospital to confirm when you are OK to re-start exercising with us.

With any illness or injury (and especially if you cannot do exercise), your diet will remain key to helping you to recover. We would recommend continuing with your healthy diet unless instructed otherwise by your medical professional. There are plenty of recipes, tips and meal ideas in the private member’s group that you can use to help you stick to your diet. Being on one of our programmes isn’t just about the exercise sessions. We will still be here to support your weight-loss goals during your illness or injury by adapting your meal plans if necessary, giving you specific exercises you can try at home and helping you to maintain your motivation by focussing on a positive mindset.

In any case of illness or injury, please let us know asap by sending an email to: radek@bodytransformerbootcamp.co.uk

Please note, we do not roll over sessions missed due to booked holidays, business trips or other unexpected events which prevent you from attending in the same way you wouldn’t ask Netflix to roll over a couple of weeks when you haven’t watched it! The significantly cheaper prices for our 6 month and 12 month programmes already reflect the fact that some sessions may be missed due to your holidays, bank holidays and up to 6 sessions when the venues are closed over Christmas (when we will aim to offer live online training where possible / appropriate or we will post videos online for you to follow in your own time).

If a session is cancelled because your venue is closed unexpectedly, we will offer you an alternative online workout session or for you to attend at an alternative group where there is space available.

COVID UPDATE: There are no specific restrictions in place from the Government whereby you need to isolate if you have COVID. However, we would expect clients to use their common sense and practise caution when in an environment which is in close contact with other people. As with any illness, please let us know asap by email that you will be missing sessions. Also please let us know the day you first tested positive. We will then get in touch with you to work out what to do next re Bootcamp. The NHS guidance is to stay at home for the 5 days after testing positive or avoid close contact with others. Obviously, some people may feel more poorly than others with the virus, some not at all. If you are too unwell to exercise, then please continue to focus on your healthy eating to aid recovery. If you are well enough to exercise, you can follow the online workouts OR if you prefer, you can continue to exercise at our outdoor venue at Meadowhead where there is plenty of space to ensure you don’t come into contact with others.

Cancellation Policy

In exceptional circumstances, there may be the need to cancel your programme with us e.g. you are moving house to a location that is too far away to attend sessions or you will be working abroad for an indeterminate length of time (usually longer than your paid for programme). It may also be needed in cases of long-term injury or illness if your doctor, physio or other medical professional advises you against exercising for more than the length of your programme. In these circumstances, we request confirmation from your medical professional that you are not able to train for that period of time.

In the first instance please contact us to have a chat and we will see if there is any way we can work around your change in circumstances.

If you do decide you need to cancel, firstly you will need to send an email to radek@bodytransformerbootcamp.co.uk to give at least 28 days’ notice of your intention to cancel your programme.

Any refunds will then be worked out for the remaining full months (in 4-week periods) starting from 28 days after you informed us depending on what programme you are on.
