Setting Goals
If you don’t set yourself goals then how will you every know if you’ve got there? What ever your goal is I want you to write it down, then give yourself a realistic date to start it and a realistic date to achieve it by.
Start with your long term goal, whether it be weight loss, fitness, health or any other goal. I want you to break it down in to as many short term goals as you can. I suggest daily goals to all of my c
lients, ensuring they are drinking enough water, getting in at least 30 minutes of exercise per day: highly attainable and achievable goals. By writing them down is the best method to ensure success.
Most people just think ‘I need to lose weight, i’ll start a diet’ but if you have no realistic plan of how your going to get there then your not going to succeed and will end up back to square one.
With all of my training clients i get them to fill in a goal sheet of what their long term goal is, I then break it down into achievable steps so every step is one step closer to reaching the end goal.
I also periodize the workouts so they have structure, there is a start date and an end date. Each session isn’t about working as hard as they can until they can’t do any more, far from it. Some sessions may work more on flexibility, then we may work on building strength, then it may be a high intensity interval workout to get the body burning calories. Each session has a specific goal to get you where you want to be.
Now find yourself a piece of paper and pen and write those goals down. Be specific, have short term, long term goals and hold yourself accountable for them. If you need someone to make you accountable then give the goals to someone who you know will help you keep on track. You can always email them to me radek@bodytransformerbootcamp.co.uk and i will make sure i hold you accountable.
