If you ask any fitness trainers if they occasionally eat pizza, cheeseburger or chips and
sometime drink a few beers of few glasses of wine they should answer YES and if they answer no, then they are lying.
I have worked with many trainers and believe me, we over eat once in a while.
I spent all weekend with other Fit-Pros educating myself in Birmingham.
Great people by the way.
Where do you think we went for our lunch?
Nandos!
Yeah, you hear it right.
Better option than McDonalds though.
The hardest time I believe had the first girl ordering her meal as we all were queueing just behind her.
The pressure lol
I am sure she wanted that lovely looking chicken burger.
Of course she went for the healthier option.
She had two ¼ chicken and rice.
Just thinking about it makes me hungry again lol
I was ordering as a last one so I didn’t feel the pressure.
I went for chicken breast in pitta bread with pineapple and cheese and spicy chips.
I really enjoyed the Nandos!
You see.
We are normal. We eat in Nandos too. Same as you probably do.
You may ask how come that we look fit?
The different between most of fitness trainers personality and personality of most of other people is
that we eat super healthy for most of the week and train double hard to get these calories off.
Thinking about this people above and there are two words coming to my mind:
1, Discipline
2, Consistency
These are two keys to your body transformation.
I have a little motto I like to say my clients and I also have it on the back of my t-shirt,
“Results or Excuses”.
I like to use one more motto,
“Don’t think about it, just do it”.
When you are about to work out but you don’t want to, there are a hundreds of excuses you will sit there
and come up with.
But if you just get up and go, you will be a lot better off.
It takes Discipline to prepare for your workout and to complete it.
It takes Discipline to prepare a meal plan for the all week.
The Discipline on his own won’t bring you the results.
I think Consistency is actually the most important concept to focus on.
Once you get past the first 4-6 weeks, your body will actually start to look forward to working out,
sweating, and burning calories.
It becomes a feeling of accomplishment and you’ll really start noticing a difference in your body and how it feels.
One thing to remember is this: Be patient with your body!
It takes time for your body to bounce back for lack of a better term.
I have seen numerous gym members and bootcampers try it for a week or two,
not see much progress, and then just give up.
Another question would be how much did they actually stick to the program?
Well, we all know that’s not going to get you were you want to be.
I’ve also seen many examples of people trying to follow a program or a new fad diet.
They try it for a few weeks and possibly get some results.
Next thing I hear is, “well that doesn’t work for me”.
I think it may have worked if they had just been patient, stayed consistent and had the discipline
to stick with it for longer than 14 to 30 days.
It’s going to take many weeks or maybe many months to reach your final goal.
Trust the fact that all your hard work and the proper eating habits will get you that rocking body.
When it comes to losing weight and getting fit – you’re either in, or you’re out – there is no ‘sorta, kinda, in betweener’.
Don’t get frustrated, stay consistent and it will happen.
Don’t give up on yourself and remember no one else is going to burn the calories for you.
You have the opportunity and the ability to do it, now let’s get it done!
“Don’t think about it, just do it!”
